Born in Toronto, Canada, Keilan Aplin-Siegel has found herself deeply entwined in traditional American fiddle music. Her first exposure to traditional music was in high school, when she began learning banjo from a local instructor in Toronto. Fiddle music has largely driven her trajectory since then: following high school she performed in various folk bands/duos in Dawson City, Toronto, and Montreal, and spent a year studying Norwegian fiddle music in Rauland, Norway. Most recently, he started a Master's degree in performance at Global Jazz Institute at Berklee, where he has had the opportunity of studying with Danilo Perez, John Patitucci, and Kris Davis, among others. Ricardo's teaching experience includes over 20 private students in his studio at a time, as well as work with non-profit organizations in Miami and virtual teaching in Panama and Costa Rica.
