"Hi!  I have been playing guitar for 26 years and teaching for 9 years and still  love doing it every day! I have written, recorded, and performed with many  different artists. Currently working with the Mackenzie O' Brien Band. I  studied music composition and guitar at Columbia College Chicago under Drew  Baker, Ilya Levinson, Ken Kumpf, Chris Forte, and Marcos Balter.     I love teaching in a manner that helps the student become more passionate  about music and help them focus on what's important to learn at their current  level. I think it's great to incorporate music they love and want to learn  too. I always start with learning the foundational elements such as: The  CAGED system, scales, chords and arpeggios, learning the fretboard, various  left-hand techniques, fingerstyle, alternate and economy picking, hybrid  picking, improvisation, music theory, composition, songwriting, and  songs."
