Dede has a BA from Harvard College where majored in Romance languages and literatures, French, and also majored in English. Upon graduation, Dede earned the David McCord Book Prize for ""Outstanding Contributions to the Dramatic Arts"" at Harvard. Dede then attended LAMDA in London, UK, and she worked as an actor where she was critically acclaimed in theatre, film and television, and then she decided to move into education. She earned a teaching credential at CSU Northridge, CA, and has taught English and French in community colleges, public schools, charter schools, and private schools, including Laurel Springs. Dede is also an award-winning educator. In 2021 she was awarded one of the top visionaries in Education by Education 2.0. Dede has considerable experience with all levels of English and working with students who are advanced as well as those who struggle with English and writing. She meets students where they are and seeks to bring out the best in each student. Dede has successfully coached students with college essays and private school essays. She enjoys working with diverse students and guiding them in ways that bring out their best talents and help them overcome challenges. Dede also teaches AP Capstone Seminar and is an AP reader.
