Amber Ginmi Scherer is a Korean-German classical pianist, educator, and activist. In May 2021, she graduated from Oberlin College & Conservatory with degrees in Psychology (BA) and Piano Performance (BM) from Oberlin College & Conservatory. During the 2021-22 season, she will be working as a Teaching Fellow for the AmeriCorps ArtistYear program in Queens, NYC. She hopes to pursue advanced degrees in Education and Public Policy, as they impact childhood development and musical training.

Alison has taught college students and beginner to advanced levels of all ages. She approaches each student as unique and caters the lessons to their individual learning style. Alfonso has participated in renowned music festivals, including Chautauqua, Aspen, and Zeister Muziekdagen in the Netherlands. A passionate educator, he is the co-founder of the International Chamber Music Festival of Guatemala and has served as visiting faculty at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala.
